"Last year we got to go to the White House and talk to the Deputy Chief of Staff there about getting the Memphis SAFE Task Force, the federal surge, to Memphis instead of Chicago. And they did it. And now we've taken what was this time a year ago America's deadliest city, the 5th deadliest city on earth. Violent crime is now down 70%."
Ben testified that after lobbying the White House Deputy Chief of Staff, Memphis received a federal law enforcement surge originally planned for Chicago. Memphis, previously ranked the fifth deadliest city globally, has seen violent crime fall 70% in the past year. The founders attribute part of this success to their ground-level anti-trafficking and anti-fentanyl work coordinated with multiple law enforcement agencies.
