"In order for him to even get this committee, he told me himself to my face, the only way he was able to continue his investigation into matters related to January 6 is he had to agree not to investigate the Capitol Police. You can't investigate January 6 without investigating the Capitol Police."
Representative Barry Loudermilk told Baker directly that House leadership under Mike Johnson and Jim Jordan required him to agree not to investigate the Capitol Police as a condition for continuing his January 6 investigation. Baker argues this restriction makes a genuine investigation impossible, comparing it to the Jeffrey Epstein search warrants designed to obscure rather than reveal truth.
