Radin's biotech company Cognigenics has developed an intranasal RNA interference treatment targeting the 5-HT2A receptor that showed dramatic results in preclinical trials. The treatment improved memory by 100% and nearly eliminated anxiety in both normal and aged mice and rats, with effects lasting 2-3 months. The company is now conducting primate trials before seeking FDA approval for human dementia treatment, with plans to explore cognitive enhancement applications.
