"They're trying to build power lines on our property. We'll see if it happens, but I was told basically it's it's probably not going to happen over here because too too much of a headache to try and go go over a big podcast property with power lines. Now, they say in the letter they're like, 'This is about the needs of the community.' But, everybody knows it's data centers. The moment they realized the public was about to become very, very aware, they were like, 'Yeah, let's not go there.'"
Tim Pool claims power companies attempted to run transmission lines through his podcast studio property to support data center expansion, ostensibly for community needs. He alleges that after making a single phone call and the companies realizing the public attention it would generate through his platform, the route was reconsidered. Pool frames this as evidence that data center infrastructure projects avoid high-profile properties to prevent public awareness and opposition.
