Dr. Tyler LeBaron revealed results from a Japanese clinical trial across 15 hospitals where 2% hydrogen gas inhalation increased 90-day survival rates in post-cardiac arrest patients from 61% to 85% compared to standard treatment alone. The study also showed neurological score improvements increased from 39% to 56%. This represents 24 additional lives saved per 100 patients, prompting the Japanese government to approve hydrogen as a Class 2B medicine for cardiac arrest treatment research.
