"There are a number of case reports. I was actually a reviewer for an article that'll be published here shortly, but they document 12 other instances where people have been like inhaling this oxyhydrogen and like with a nasal cannula and there'll be a static discharge, something happens and that will go off and fractures their nose."
LeBaron warned that many consumer hydrogen inhalation devices produce flammable oxyhydrogen mixtures that have caused documented injuries including internal organ combustion and nasal fractures. He noted that hydrogen becomes explosive above 4.6% concentration and that many products on the market pose safety risks that prevent their use in clinical settings or IRB-approved studies.
