Job Recruiter Called Minutes After FOIA Request Was Withdrawn for Classified Records

"I get an email from the FOIA people after I got the call from the recruiter. They say, you know, if you really want to know about the SOAR program, you have to know exactly what program in the Air Force ran it. I say, okay, drop it. Drop the FOIA request. 3 minutes later, I get a call from the recruiter. Oh, great. You passed to the next level. It's time to do the cognitive testing. 3 minutes."
When the researcher filed a Freedom of Information Act request about the SOAR program, she received unusually quick pushback. After withdrawing the request, a federal job recruiter called exactly three minutes later to advance her application, suggesting coordinated monitoring of her FOIA activity and potential leverage to suppress her inquiry.
