"The number one outcome driver in terms of wellbeing, both psychological and physical, is the quality of relationships. People who are depressed are twice as likely to have heart disease. There's research showing that people in happy marriages actually, their wounds heal faster."
Manson emphasized that relationship quality is the most significant factor in both mental and physical health, citing research showing happy marriages accelerate wound healing and depression doubles heart disease risk. Both he and host Gary Brecka lamented that the biohacking industry largely ignores relationships because they cannot be easily measured or hacked like biomarkers.
