"Because Hilo got shot down. We were convinced they were surface-to-air missiles, not RPGs. I saw the guys actually— was it Turbine 34? So Turbine 33 got shot down, and I saw a couple guys from 34, and they were so shaken they actually landed on the wrong part of town."
Rob O’Neill recalls that after the Turbine 33 helicopter was shot down, he and others believed it was hit by surface-to-air missiles rather than RPGs. He says he later saw personnel from Turbine 34 who were shaken and landed in the wrong place.
