Pasulka says Stanford immunologist Gary Nolan told her he would not visit Skinwalker Ranch because of purported harmful after-effects reported by visitors, commonly described as the “hitchhiker effect”, where activity allegedly follows people home. Her account is second-hand, attributed to Nolan, and presented as a reason he avoided on-site research despite contacts working there.
