Jamie Kern Lima (founder of It Cosmetics) describes what she says were the operational and commercial stakes of her company’s first QVC appearance: a 10-minute live slot that could be shortened mid-segment if sales targets were missed. She also says the brand had to sell more than 6,000 units in that window, under consignment terms where unsold inventory would be shipped back unpaid.
