Former JSOC contractor Chad Robichaux revealed he heard from multiple sources that US forces had opportunities to capture or kill Osama bin Laden before 2011 but were called off by leadership. He cited John McPhee's account of being ordered to stand down during one such opportunity. Robichaux suggested bin Laden may have been kept alive because of what he knew about 9/11 complicity.
