UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili was involved in a physical confrontation with an Umar Nurmagomedov supporter following a press conference in Tbilisi, Georgia for a RAF (Real Action Fighting) event. The incident occurred after Dvalishvili stated at the press conference that he would fight anyone except "this spoiled guy" Umar. According to reports, security and fellow fighter Arman Tsarukyan had to intervene. Aljamain Sterling defended Dvalishvili's actions, stating that Umar needs to control his supporters and that the respect card can't be played after trash talk on social media.
