"I have tremendous regret. Um, I backed down. I've never backed down in my life. And win or lose, but I try. And I came out to Vegas so I could think. And I had a meeting with Dana. It had to do with the Paramont and you couldn't do and and it turned into a thing. And I I felt like a bit of an arrangement was made for for me to to wait a cycle. Um, but I regret it."
Chael Sonnen revealed he has tremendous regret about not pursuing the Oregon governorship, stating he backed down for the first time in his life after meeting with Dana White. Sonnen suggested there was an arrangement related to his UFC media work that led him to wait, but in retrospect he would have chosen politics over broadcasting if forced to pick one.
