"Use of immunity is essentially giving the individual during the limited time of their statement, they're given that immunity from statements that are made in regard to an incident. But it does not preclude them from prosecution from evidence that would be known or found then or later outside of that interview."
Agent Davis testified that Lance Twiggs, Robinson's roommate, was granted use immunity by both the Utah County Attorney's Office and U.S. Attorney's Office before his April 20, 2026 video-recorded interview. The interview was taken in lieu of Twiggs testifying at the preliminary hearing, and prosecutors can still pursue charges based on evidence outside the interview itself.
