What was said
"There is a war going on. This is a real war. It all started as a special military operation. It continues like a war because Berlin, Paris, the Hague, Oslo, and unfortunately Washington are behind Kiev because they are being helped to arm to aim through their satellites. They're being helped to aim foreign weapons at our targets through their entire infrastructure."
Dmitry Peskov, Putin's spokesman, explicitly stated the Ukraine conflict has escalated from a special military operation to a real war due to Western involvement through satellite targeting assistance and weapons provision. This marks a significant departure from Putin's established terminology and suggests Russia may soon upgrade the legal framework governing the conflict, potentially authorizing strikes on political leadership and Western officials in Ukraine.
