Orlando Police Department became one of the first US jurisdictions to deploy drones as primary first responders to 911 calls. The system uses 9 docks with 11 Skydio drones that beat patrol officers to locations one-third of the time and provided useful information in 97% of deployments. The drones give officers live aerial views before arrival including suspect movements and weapons detection.
