The Most Important Conversation You’ll Ever Have With Yourself | Ed Mylett
"I said, Mom and Dad, I want to be a wrestler. My mom's like, oh my God, Nick, you know, wrestling's the most physical sport. If you're out there, you hit your arm. And I was like, I was a 17, 18-year-old kid. I looked at him, I said, can we cut it off?"
Nick Sanantastasso, born with no legs and one arm, convinced his parents to amputate five inches of his arm during his sophomore year of high school so he could pursue varsity wrestling. His bone was growing faster than his skin, making it dangerously sensitive, and he saw the amputation as removing the only obstacle between him and his dream of competing.
