What was said
"Who teaches in medical schools? Doctors. Who teaches in law schools? Lawyers. Who teaches in our business schools? Not business people. They're intellectuals, they're academics. They don't have the experience of actually leading. They have a theory about leadership."
Mackey criticized the structure of business education, arguing that unlike medical and law schools where practitioners teach, business schools are staffed by academics with no real-world leadership experience. He identified this as a fundamental flaw preventing authentic servant leadership and conscious capitalism from being taught to future business leaders.
