Dr. Jill Biden: The Hardest Moments No One Saw (The Untold Story of the White House Years)
What was said
"I was really heartbroken for Joe because he had been a public servant for over 50 years. And for his career to end on such a negative note, I was heartbroken for him. When you love somebody and they go through something like that, you feel their pain."
Dr. Biden expressed deep sadness that President Biden's five-decade political career concluded following the 2024 debate debacle and his subsequent withdrawal from the race. She revealed that Biden told her "I had no choice" when he stepped down after losing Democratic Party support, despite some calling him a hero for passing the torch.
