What was said
"MLB acknowledges warning the players, saying that this violates the uniform policy. They're not allowed to write on their uniforms. And the MLB says this is not a disciplinary action. It has absolutely nothing to do with the content of the messages that they put on their caps."
Major League Baseball warned three San Francisco Giants pitchers for inscribing Bible verses on their Pride Night caps, citing uniform policy violations, despite having previously allowed Black Lives Matter messaging stenciled on pitching mounds and jersey patches for over a year. The contradiction sparked accusations of anti-Christian bias, with Senator Josh Hawley sending a letter to Commissioner Rob Manfred calling out a pattern of discrimination against Christian ballplayers.
