"Yes, we did. They're gonna get back to us, 'cause at the same time, that was on the night of the fight. We understand that the UFC had to go all over to make this event, took a lot from them. So they're gonna get back to us."
Alex Pereira confirmed his team has formally requested a rematch with Ciryl Gane, saying the UFC acknowledged the request but needs time before responding. Notably, Pereira stated he will not appeal the result despite believing he was fouled, instead choosing to push for an immediate rematch at heavyweight. His urgency for the rematch—targeting August or September—and refusal to return to light heavyweight suggests he views this as unfinished business rather than a fair loss.
