Entrecan described a mystical encounter with a Hopi woman who appeared at mile 240 on Mount Elden and gave her ceremonial cornmeal, telling her the implications of her race for women were beyond comprehension. After receiving the blessing, Entrecan ran the entire final 2,000-foot climb and later scattered the cornmeal for runners behind her. She later verified the encounter was real by finding the moment on the race livestream.
