"Rock bottom has a basement. People think rock bottom is the end. There's a basement down there. Every pain, every heartbreak, every agony is an opportunity for you to meet God. That's where I met God, not in rock bottom, in the basement of rock bottom. When I met God and fixed my relationship with God and got closer and understood that relationship, then my self-love journey started."
Sarah Al-Madhani described her transformation as beginning when she reached the basement of rock bottom—a place deeper than despair—where she encountered divine presence. She credits rebuilding her relationship with God, not therapy or external validation, as the catalyst for self-love and healing. This spiritual awakening shifted her understanding from blaming God for trauma to taking radical responsibility.
