California Governor Gavin Newsom announced plans to impose a 100% state tax on any Californian who receives compensation from the federal DOJ's $1.7 billion Anti-Weaponization Fund, which is designed to compensate citizens unfairly targeted by government. Legal experts cited in the show noted this likely violates the Equal Protection Clause, Due Process, and Bill of Attainder protections in the U.S. Constitution.
