Or if the governor couldn't make it, he would send a representative to either get feedback from us, you know, that dialogue... He's never met with us. The number one issue that people care about in California, and that's law enforcement."
Sheriff Bianco revealed that Governor Gavin Newsom has never attended the bimonthly California Sheriffs Association meetings, breaking with decades of precedent from previous governors. After Bianco made this public during his campaign, Newsom called a small handful of hand-picked sheriffs for a single meeting that attendees called 'the biggest waste of time,' but still refuses to meet with the association's elected leadership.
