Cleveland Clinic researchers analyzing over 12,000 cancer patients found those taking GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic were significantly less likely to see their cancer progress to stage 4. The largest effect was in lung cancer patients, who showed 50% lower risk of metastasis, with substantial reductions also seen in breast, liver, and colorectal cancers. The retrospective study warrants randomized trials to confirm causation.
