What was said
"And so, somebody at headquarters came up with the idea to hypnotize him. I had never participated in a hypnosis hypnosis session before. So, we flew him to a third country where we wouldn't be interrupted."
John Kiriakou says the CIA decided to use hypnosis while debriefing a Greek-speaking “walk-in” linked to the 2000 killing of Brigadier General Stephen Saunders in Athens. He recalls the source being flown to a third country and questioned with help from headquarters staff, including a psychiatrist he describes as a certified hypnotist.
