What was said

"they arranged a secret meeting in Islamabad where Redwood was flown out with his handlers to meet the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the intelligence operatives of the Ayatollah's regime to hand over the entire Redwood Hall, the names, the addresses, the communist plot, the money trails, the gun debt cashies, everything. Within 2 months, something like 8,000 Iranian communists were rounded up by the Revolutionary Guard, of whom perhaps 6,000 were executed."

Ben Macintyre alleges that after exfiltrating Vladimir Kazichkin (“Redwood”), MI6 and the CIA decided to pass his intelligence to Iranian officials, including operational details about the Iranian Communist Party. Macintyre says a secret meeting in Islamabad facilitated the handover and that, within two months, “something like” 8,000 people were rounded up by the Revolutionary Guard, with “perhaps” 6,000 executed, helping the Ayatollah’s regime consolidate power.
