"“The production team in South Africa decided, you know what? We're going to have Michael swim at this beach called Fish Hook. And when I heard that, I was like, is this a [ __ ] joke? This is a beach where two humans have been consumed by great whites in public.”"
Shark Week filmmaker Andy Casagrande recalls a Cape Town shoot involving Michael Phelps, saying bad weather led producers to suggest moving the swim to Fish Hoek. Casagrande says he objected, claiming two people had previously been killed there by great white sharks.
