What was said

"Albany has this very advanced bunker underground capable of surviving nuclear attacks. And I thought for a minute and I said I can't do that. You know I can't flee New York and go to an underground bunker."

Former New York governor George Pataki says that after the attacks began on 11 September 2001, state police urged him to take a helicopter to an underground emergency command centre in Albany. Pataki says he refused and stayed in New York City, describing it as the only time in 12 years as governor that he ignored his security detail’s advice.
