The Case for Energy Abundance With Chris Wright
"In fact, they funded a project that was decarb mac and cheese. So, you know, like a giant food company that makes mac and cheese. They were giving them grants, tens of millions of dollars to change their process to reduce the CO2 emissions from the production of mac and cheese."
US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said the Department of Energy under the previous administration avoided engagement with “hydrocarbons” and focused spending on wind, solar and batteries. As an example, he claimed the agency funded a “decarb mac and cheese” project, describing “tens of millions of dollars” in grants to reduce CO2 emissions from mac and cheese production.
