"the experience of flying over Gaza is like flying over Dresden after World War II and just seeing the miles and miles of just well it's not a big place but just just endless devastation And he his sentiment about that is that when the rest of the world can see what really happened, when reporters are finally let in to take pictures on the ground, they won't believe it."
Warrick recalls being told that Jordan’s King Abdullah II, after Gaza overflights during aid drops, compared the view to postwar Dresden. He says the person sharing the story believed the scale of destruction will shock the world once reporters can enter Gaza.
