Emerson alleges al-Awlaki car tracker failed because ‘JC stopped paying the bill’

Emerson claims the tracker placed on al-Awlaki’s vehicle abruptly went dark because “JC” (which he appears to use to refer to JSOC leadership structures) stopped paying for the device’s communications services. He says the team initially feared the tag had been discovered, before learning it was an administrative failure, and adds that the pattern-of-life data still proved useful later.
