24-year-old says his heated jaw massager business is doing $430,000 a month

Noom, 24, claims his bootstrapped e-commerce business selling a heated jaw massager for TMJ symptoms is bringing in $430,000 per month (annualised about $5m). He says he built early versions using 3D printing and self-assembly, spending less than $3,000 to make the first units, and later scaled production by placing his printers inside a third-party logistics provider so its staff could manufacture and fulfil orders; he says he is now travelling to China to finalise production samples for a second-generation version.
