Horowitz says that during a week at the Monroe Institute in Virginia, he used the organisation’s audio-guided programme to ask for direction about his work and received what he describes as a clear internal instruction: “Do less.” He links that message to a later health scare, saying he was hospitalised earlier in the year after his haemoglobin “tanked”, which he frames as a warning about his high-intensity routine.
