Mike Sarraille: The Real Difference Between DEVGRU and Delta Force
What was said
""you're, you're half the size of DEVGROUP. They lack support personnel. And what was explained to me is, well, you guys have the Navy, and the Navy will give you whatever you want. You're a Tier 1 command. We have to compete with the Green Berets, Army SF, uh, TF-160th, the Rangers, PSYOPS.""
Mike Sarraille says he was told on arriving at Delta Force that it was about half the size of DEVGRU and short of support personnel. He says Delta, unlike DEVGRU, has to compete inside the Army for enablers with units including the Green Berets, TF-160th, the Rangers and PSYOPS.
