"I don't think there should be any tax on the under-30s. Have you seen Rory Sutherland's one, which is he thinks, I think your first 250 grand should be tax-free, which is an equivalent. That's a great idea. Yeah. So you just get that first £250,000, dollars, and no tax on that, and then the tax kicks in afterward. It's a great idea. It's a great idea."
Jimmy Carr argues younger people are not being given the conditions to buy a house and start a family, and says under-30s should pay no tax. He also endorses an idea he attributes to Rory Sutherland: making the first £250,000 tax-free before tax applies afterward.
