"We should lower the drinking age to 16. Because if you think 16-year-olds aren't drinking, well, you're living in a fucking fantasy world anyway. Certainly in the UK. I don't know about— how much do people drink in the US at 16?"
Comedian Jimmy Carr says the drinking age should be lowered to 16, arguing that teenagers are already drinking. He suggests legalizing drinking at 16 “not for individuals” — requiring someone to bring “3 mates” — so drinking happens in a group rather than alone, and he says he’d rather teens drink in a pub than in a park.
