Huberman cites brain-stimulation study where people preferred triggering anger and frustration

How You Can Train Your Brain To Be Motivated | Dr. Andrew Huberman
"The brain area that people preferred to stimulate the most, this is really going to upset a few people, was the one that led to anger and frustration."
Neuroscientist Dr Andrew Huberman points to research he says was published in Science in the 1960s involving neurosurgical patients who could stimulate different brain areas and report how they felt. He says participants most preferred stimulating a site that produced feelings of anger and frustration, which he interprets as the brain signalling a need to act in response to perceived threat or friction.
