Rapper and actor Ice Cube told Conan O’Brien that, at the height of N.W.A’s early fame, their label Priority Records showed the group a letter from the FBI and panicked about the attention. Cube recalls Eazy-E’s reaction was to treat the letter as a promotional opportunity, urging the group to publicise it as intimidation rather than a threat.
