Trauma Doctor: If You Feel Lonely All The Time, Watch This | Dr. Gabor Maté
"No wonder we have so many children in trouble with anxiety and ADHD and then depression and the rate of childhood suicide is going up and uh the number of kids being medicated with heavy duty medications, multiplicity of medications is going up. Why? Because the conditions for healthy development are less and less available to them."
Dr Gabor Maté argues that modern environments are harmful to healthy child development and links this to rising anxiety, ADHD, depression, childhood suicide and psychiatric medication use. He says the problem lies less with parents’ intentions and more with the social conditions in which parenting happens.
