ICE agents will cease making traffic stops. A federal source told Fox News ICE will continue conducting vehicle stops only for those considered to be the most egregious targets with serious or violent criminal histories."
Following fatal ICE shootings in Maine and Texas involving individuals in the country illegally, the Department of Homeland Security has ordered ICE agents to cease most vehicle stops nationwide. The policy shift comes amid mounting protests and international tension with Mexico, which is preparing civil lawsuits against U.S. detention centers. ICE will only conduct vehicle stops for targets with serious or violent criminal histories going forward.
