"As soon as he said that, I got punched in the back of the head. I was like, 'Well, that's gay.' And then another dude hits me in the side of the head. I'm like, 'That's two.' And then I turned finally to face him and caught another head in the forehead. I'm like, 'Oh, you guys are fucked now.' I just dropped the first guy that I could see, put the other dude in a headlock and then kicked the other guy in the face."
While incarcerated in San Diego's George Bailey Detention Facility during COVID for resisting arrest, Yiannis was ambushed by three inmates in a cell over refusing to give up his fruit for prison wine. Despite taking three sucker punches, he defeated all three attackers within the 22-second limit inmates enforce for white-on-white fights. After the incident, he was respected and left alone, eventually leading Bible study groups.
