What was said
"The Pentagon is essentially going bankrupt at the moment. They have the biggest budget that they ever had, $1 trillion budget. Donald Trump is now requesting $1.5 trillion. That's nearly like double what the budgets were before Donald Trump came into office. And they are burning through this money at a rapid clip."
The hosts report that the Department of Defense is rapidly depleting its record $1 trillion budget due to Trump's war escalation in Iran, now requiring an additional $350 billion through 'Reconciliation 3.0' by cutting medical and social programs. Trump is requesting $1.5 trillion total, nearly double pre-Trump levels, while the war shows no signs of resolution and oil prices surge.
