Israeli Analyst Accuses Representative Roana of Fabricating West Bank Detention Incident
What was said
"Roana apparently has spent the multiple days since that incident lying about what happened. They were not detained. They were prevented from going forward. Nothing stopped them from going back and retracing their steps and leaving the area. There was no violence and there was no detention of a US congressman."
Israeli commentator Haviv Rettig Gur alleges that US Representative Ro Khanna fabricated claims of being violently detained by Israeli settlers and soldiers during a West Bank visit. Gur asserts that video evidence released by Khanna's own team shows no detention, no violence, and polite exchanges with IDF soldiers who were waiting for police to arrive. Gur suggests Khanna deliberately staged the incident for political gain among progressive voters, waiting three days to release selective footage that contradicted his initial inflammatory claims.
