Trump Administration Designates Antifa as Terrorist Organization in International Coordination Effort

What was said

"These designations and our focus is based off of groups who are engaged in violent terrorist activity, such as kidnapping, targeting U.S. law enforcement, targeting the civilian population. And when we started talking about this ministerial, we actually had so many countries raising this as a problem that they started proactively reaching out to us to be involved in this ministerial."

State Department spokesman Tommy Pichaud announced the U.S. will formally designate Antifa as a terrorist organization and coordinate with multiple foreign governments facing similar problems. The designation addresses what Pichaud called a decades-long gap in U.S. counterterrorism strategy, focusing on groups engaged in kidnapping and targeting law enforcement.
