Israeli Helicopter Troops Prepared to Board Liberty and Kill Survivors

"The deck crew told me that two large armored helicopters came over fully loaded with armed troops, automatic weapons, hand grenades. It seems fairly obvious the idea was to seize the ship, kill everyone aboard it, no survivors. We think there's a very good possibility that we were set up by our own government."

Lockwood states that Israeli helicopters carrying armed commandos approached the crippled USS Liberty during the attack, which he interprets as preparation to board and eliminate witnesses. He argues the use of unmarked aircraft, jamming of distress frequencies, and machine-gunning of life rafts all violated international law and suggest premeditation. Lockwood believes the Johnson administration facilitated a false flag operation.
