Lavrov Says West Lies No Talks Ever Again; Kremlin Says US Duplicitous; West Faces Diesel Shortage
"We no longer trust the West's declared willingness to find a negotiated solution. Our reserve of good faith and hope has run completely dry."
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated during a press conference in Mozambique that Russia has abandoned all hope of reaching negotiated settlements with the West over Ukraine. Lavrov cited broken agreements from 2014, 2015, 2019, and 2022, claiming Western guarantees proved to be total lies. This represents a hardening of Russian diplomatic posture following the NATO summit meeting in Ankara.
