"This was a statement that basically says we are demanding unconditional surrender from the Ukrainians. And it put the Germans on notice. They said Germany is a reincarnation of Nazi past, and they showed video clips of the Russians taking over Berlin saying this is Germany's future if they want to continue to go down this route. Very militant, very aggressive, unprecedented."
Scott Ritter reported the Russian Embassy's Victory Day celebration exhibited unprecedented militancy, with the ambassador delivering Moscow-cleared remarks demanding Ukraine's unconditional surrender and warning Germany it faces the fate of Nazi Berlin if it continues supporting Ukraine. Ritter noted the Chinese military attaché participated prominently in joint Russia-China toasts, signaling a deepening military partnership between the two powers against the West.
